The funny thing about projects is that it's really hard to find money
for something you're "going to do" vs something you've already
started. We spent a long time on the design and planning of KISS I
before we built any hardware. This made it easier to know what we
needed and how much it would cost - which made it easier to raise the
money to build it.

If we wait until we have a big pile of money before we start planning
the next vehicle, we'll be another 2-3 years before we fly again.
