If someone want to contribute to your application,
the code will also be covered by the same license.
But s/he will be part of the copyright holder. That is what I understand.
If you choose to use GPL, the application will be GPL
unless ALL the authors agree to change it.
If you choose BSD or other similar license, it allows you to use it
more freely.
In that case, you can take the whole source code (part of them are
not your work)
and do whatever you want, as long as you follows that the license says.
