I don't think it's that clear. They show a USA 110 volt plug. The 240 volts might be a factory-set option so that it works outside the US. There's no implication that it automatically senses the voltage and goes through the right transformer lead.

All you have to do is put any 240 plug on the snipped cord that corresponds with the 240 outlet.
