Hi Tom,

I can give you one reason, and it goes to the heart of Bruce's point.

The Zero electric motorcycle has a ChaDeMo 'fast' charge port as an option.  It 
costs US$1800.  I'm sure in time this will come down but that is a BIG chunk of 
money - if you are rarely or never going to really need it and you are trying 
to buy a lovely EV on a tight budget.

That said, I absolutely agree that for EV newbies, those who have not yet 
learned that once you know your EV can do the trips you make every day without 
any drama - or running out of juice, having the ability to charge in 30 minutes 
flat is a real bonus.  Assuming you have some ChaDeMo sites near where you 
live, it really does eliminate the range anxiety issue, or the perceived issue 
anyway.  And that, I suspect, is what is stopping a lot more people investing 
in an EV.
