But most of the people in the focus group would probably have said, "A killerwhat? That sounds dangerous!"

I suspect that only 1% of average drivers could tell you what a kilowatthour is. The Leaf focus group probably had people 10 times more likely to be interested in EVs, so they were better; 10% of them knew what a Kilowatthour is. So they still got out-voted.
