Good PV panels over the bed and (and perhaps the cab roof) will give you a few miles a day. It's your call whether this is enough to make it worthwhile.

On the other hand, PV panels for the 12v battery is pretty easy. They can keep it charged even if the vehicle sits for a long time, let you run the fan when parked to keep the interior cool in the summer, etc.
