It's not hard to make progress in consciousness research, it's impossible.

Such facts are not hard to come by. they're impossible to come by. So for a
consciousness scientist being lazy works just as well as being industrious,
so consciousness research couldn't be any easier, just face a wall, sit on
your hands, and contemplate your navel.
