For my development project, I have setup a new test lab using VMWARE: Two servers both Windows NT 4.0 SP6. One is a BDC with Exchange 5.5 SP6. The other is a PDC.
1. Upgraded the Windows NT PDC to Windows 2000 AD Domain controller and applied Service Pack 2 2. Installed ADC from the Exchange CD 3. Ran Forestprep and told it to use the existing Exchange organization 4. Ran Domain prep 5. Installed Exchange 2000 and applied Service Pack 2 6. Setup a two way agreement with ADC between Exchange 5.5 and 2000. (One was already listed, but it said from the same server to the same server) I still don't see MOVE MAILBOX as a choice under Active Directory Users and Computers for accounts that have mailboxes on the Exchange 5.5 server. Still the only way I see to move a mailbox would be to use the Exchange Migration Wizard. -Todd ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ed Crowley" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Exchange Discussions" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, February 21, 2002 12:20 PM Subject: RE: How to move mailboxes from Exchange 5.5. to 2000 via script > Did you install ADC before running /ForestPrep and then when running > /ForestPrep specify that your Exchange 2000 server would be in the > existing Exchange 5.5 organization?
