+1 for this Ilient Sysaid. I use this at several of my clients and you can't beat the price for a smaller org. I started w/ v4 so the new v5 interface is a little weird and you now have to request a separate license (free though) to handle some of the inventory side of things. However, for a Help Desk system and being able to track when an app (or hardware) was installed it is good.
Initially I picked it up because of the inventory piece and utilized the HelpDesk piece later. You can set it up to send an e-mail (I have it send text to my phone) when a ticket is created - so on the Exchange side you'd just set up a distribution list. Sort of a helpdesk / SMS all in one product. At first, I created a mail-enabled security group, and added the people that needed it to the group. Now, I find that's not what they wanted. They want an actual, separate mailbox, that these people will access, in addition to their own. I need to verify that my thinking is correct here: 1) In order to do this, I have to create a new user within ADUC, with a mailbox. (Named Help, for example) 2) I then have to give the people that will be accessing this mailbox full rights to the mailbox. 3) I then need to go to their computers, and setup their Outlook to open this Help mailbox in addition to theirs. Is this correct? Is there a better way of doing this?
