Dear Massimo,

This is not actually right. Russians may have a second citizenship only
under the bi-lateral international agreements, and such agreement has been
concludued between Russia and Israel only. This has been discussed in press
recently when they discovered that many bureaucrats here (especially in
Pskov region) have dual citizenship, while these are especially prohibited
from having two passports ;) SO, Russians with a second citizenship may lose
their Russian passport on the border, if a special raid is called for ;)

Dear Lada

The situation is a little bit different, russian people can take another one
citizenship, instead of foreigners who cannot take the russian, because it
is required from the RF (Отказ я имею ввиду). Many russians who have italian
citizenship can use both passport when they pass through the russian custom.
But the situation may be really different with a US citizen..

Regards
Massimo
