Not really see:

which has a networking setup walk-through, including adding a Windows
or Mac machine to the network. There is also a walk-through for
ipchains setup using PMFirewall.

P.S. There is no way I'm going to try to describe both in an email
when there is a thorough tutorial, with images, that is going to
help you a lot more. If you have specific questions after visiting
the link, that's fine.
