The problem he is having is because he is trying to install the Cooker-Contrib version of avifile-player instead of the 9.0-Contrib version.
Some Cooker-Contrib rpms can be installed and run on 9.0 without problem, others will cause problems because they were built against different libs/depends than are available in 9.0. When you wish to make use of a Cooker-Contrib rpm on a released system then the best approach is to dl .src.rpm and rebuild it for your current running system. Alternately the 9.0 src.rpm/spec can be dled and edited to use an also dled avifile-player-0.7.18.tar.gz/bz2 and a 9.0 version of avifile-player-0.7.18 rpm will be created.
