Well, that engine wasn't perfect. I needed new pistons and liners since it had Wiseco's and a two step overbore. Just so happens that Tony had a sale on those parts not so long ago... Double that price or just a bit more, you can find them complete. Just call Greg O.
On the 494, only the first factory overbore is allowed, so if you need more, it is time to resleeve. You won't regret going to the 494. Rock solid, problem free engines. ----- Original Message ---- From: Jan Schmidt <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, January 21, 2007 10:57:13 PM Subject: [F500] rotax 493 on ebay One of our racers got 1 helluva deal on a 493 off of ebay today and it wasnt me. I figure when I am ready to jump into the rotax game, I will go with a 494. I was "watching" a 493 in the last 24 hours and someone bought it on a buy it now status for a paltry $505. Not bad! Obviously, the seller was unaware of our lust for these engines. It probably could have gone for double that. Congrats to the new owner. Bill Schmidt 88 RD (Kawi for now) ps, what do the 494 guys do when the cylinders are worn beyond the .020" limit? _______________________________________________ F500 mailing list - [email protected] To unsubscribe or change options please visit: http://f500.org/mailman/listinfo/f500 *** Please, DO NOT send unsubscribe requests to the mailing list! *** ________________________________ FormulaCar Magazine - A Proud Supporter of Formula 500 The Official Publication of Junior Formula Car Racing Subscribe Today! www.formulacarmag.com or 519-624-2003 _________________________________ _______________________________________________ F500 mailing list - [email protected] To unsubscribe or change options please visit: http://f500.org/mailman/listinfo/f500 *** Please, DO NOT send unsubscribe requests to the mailing list! ***
