Unfortunately the iPhone SDK has some pretty ridiculous restrictions -- you can only distribute your programs through the Apple store, and you're not allowed to write programs that can dynamically load and execute code. Among other things, this rules out the game of life with an unlimited board size, since it is Turing complete!
