True for whom?  For him?  I have never doubted your
story, or that the man probably felt that way.  On 
the other hand, it's a meaningless thing to say.
There was never any possibility that Maharishi could
ever be considered for the gig.

All I'm saying is that, as statements go, it's a lot
like, "If frogs could fly they wouldn't bump their
asses when they hop."  It's easy to speculate, but
they can't fly, and they do bump their asses when
they hop.
