It's good to know Judy isn't partial when it comes to calling someone out for
fudging the facts or fanciful thinking. I'll admit to putting a little spin on
Obama's wiggle out of Stephanopoulos trying to press him that paying a penalty
for mandated insurance is a tax. Instead of owing up to the fact that such a
penalty is a tax, Obama shifted the focus of the conversation saying that
people who don't buy into it places a burden on the rest of us. It pissed me
off. IMO the burden on all of us won't be the people who don't buy mandated
insurance. The real burden on all of us will be mandated insurance without a
public option that allows EVERYONE to choose it. I'd like to see him wiggle out
of a question about a public option asking why it doesn't include everyone.
Would Stephanopoulos have confronted this issue? Not a chance.
