Did you just tell a fib, > again? I never heard of them as being orphans, they were children from poor families. And I am conflicted about how I feel about this project. Part of me appreciates seeing an attempt to preserve the Vedic chanting tradition. Not because I view it as having the place in human knowledge Maharishi did, but because it is an amazing part of our human past and it has a beauty that I appreciate. On the other hand I see these kids as buying into a sexually restrictive life and religious indoctrination before they even know what their life options are. On the other hand they may only have shitty options back home so maybe 3 hots and a cot is as good as it gets for them. And if they help preserve a tradition for the future and come to believe in the project themselves who am I to criticize. I don't really see how the whole no boner policy helps any religious tradition personally. At least now I understand what you were talking about with the Hindu orphan deal. > > > > > > > > > All this statement proves is your > > prejudice against Hindus. > > > > Curtis: > > Just the snake-oil salesmen among them. > > > Don't you just hate those snake-oil salesmen! > > Like the Maharishi, the Pope, and the Dalai > Lama!
