I joined in 96. I rarely post but I do enjoy reading the list.
I first saw Magician when it first came out. I was managing a retail store and Magician came in and the cover caught my interest straight away. Unfortunately, I was young and involved in a lot of stuff at the time and reading was on the list. It was a couple of years later before I bought Magician. Magician blew me away. After Tolkien, Magician was just so easy and fun to read. The storyline blew me away. Midkemia dazzled me. The series is only one of three authors that I re-read time and again and enjoy. Although, I will be adding George Martin's work to that list. I like a lot of other authors like Eddings, Macaffery and such, but I just could never get in to them like I do REF's work. I went to Marist High School in Chicago and my freshman literature teacher, Mrs. Littleton had us read both, Apprentice and Master, for class... I have been in love with the story ever since. It is now 17 years later and it is the only series of books (really the only books) that I read... I always read the newest book in 1-2 days (which causes some rough mornings the next day).
