Best Friends did a lot of Katrina rescue work; a friend who is 
librarian specializing in grants, says the Best Friends web-site has the
best source of information on grants for animals (www.bestfriends.org).
United Animal Nations (www.uan.org) sometimes helps with vet bills and
another site I have saved is www.imom.org/fa/others.htm
