Thanks Jane.  I tried searching the fibernet archives as Sara suggested but nothing 
came up.  .  Then I Yahooed and came up with some interesting comments about the 
difference
that agree basically with your interpretation so I sorta now understand what the 
person was driving at, I've been grappling with this for a while, since the interview, 
 and most of my thoughts have been muddled and unfocused.  Well at least now I 
understand their point of reference and realise why my answer left them so puzzled.
