I happen to believe in Israel as a homeland for Jews....but I can fully understand those who oppose the imposition of western state on Arab land, especially in light of how Israel has dealt with Palestinians. There is a legitimate argument for Zionism, and a legitimate opposite viewpoint. I know many Jews who are not Zionists....and many Zionists like myself who fully understand how the very idea of Israel - because of its oppressive occupation and policies - has become an anathema to Palestinians. That is NOT being anti Jewish. It's being anti Israel and its goals.. People like Netanyahu...and the entire right wing religious movement in Israel. (remember Kahane) want to push all Arabs off their legitimate land in the West Bank. They've said so openly. God, of course, gave the land to the right wing Jewish zealots....or so they clearly claim.
There has to be recognition that this is a two sided argument, not a one sided...Israel is always right...discussion. And Jews have to stop accusing anti Israeli voices of being anti Jewish.
