Is your fiance a practicing Muslim?
My close friend from Iran was not although he of course was a Shiite.
Does your fiance now live in the U.S. and if so, is he a U.S. citizen?
And do you have any plans to go to Lebanon?

When I was staying at Kibbutz Sasa in the mid-70s, the kibbutz was
attacked by Fadayem who came over the border from Lebanon - and the
apartment where my wife and I were staying came under intense fire for
several hours until the army got there. In the morning there were tanks in
the street and the terrorists were all caught and killed. The attackers
were Palestinians who were using Lebanon as a base of operations and one
of the main reasons the IDF had to go into Lebanon - (a war that turned
out bad but I am certain it would have had different results if the newly
elected Christian leader of Lebanon was not assassinated.).
