This thread has really caught my attention!! I assume all of you are using Windows? (Several years ago I had a dual monitor Mac, which was very nice ...) I received a WindowsXP personal edition upgrade for Christmas, and I have three (!!) unused monitors sitting around. (I have converted three old Windows boxes to run Linux and FreeBSD, and I access them all from my laptop. Since I access them all remotely through secure shell, there is generally no need for them to have either a keyboard or a monitor. [Nice!!].)

I see from another post (The Hale Website Collection) that an nVidia card will support two monitors. Robert, how do you support three monitors? Do you have two video cards? Can Windows support *four* monitors? For each of my unused monitors, I own an unused video card. Can I use multiple one-monitor video cards (assuming that I have enough slots, etc., etc.)?

I should just probably read the manual. (I've been dragging my feet upgrading from Windows 98 to XP because of varied reports of problems with MIDI (etc.). However, having multiple monitors might be just what it takes to motivate me to upgrade!!)

I guess I really don't need a lot of details, just a confirmation that of which OS you use (I have a vague recollection of Windows XP supporting multiple monitors). In the worst case I will have to spend $100 for a 2-monitor video card. In the best-case scenario, I can just use my old cards (they aren't *that* old) and monitors and not spend a penny. ...

Thanks for a very inspiring thread!!
