Hi Rick et al-- Yes, I tried that before I knew XP had the rollback feature. That's when I got the error that MIDI isn't available under NT. I think I'll try the BIOS setup fix Rick/Kathy Neiman suggested, and then get back to the list if that doesn't help.\\ \ thanks much for the help! Cecil
