So, then, does anyone have experience partioning an XP disk that can give me some pointers for loading in Win98 so I *can* use my program?

I'll save you the trouble of going out and getting a cable.Windows XP is the lates incarnation of Windows NT. Finale did not support MIDI in Windows NT (or 2000 or XP) before Finale 98c.Hope this helps
