And here I thought that any company trying seriously to protect their 
software would have at least included some sort of checksum as part of 
the serial number so that not just ANY 10 digits would work!

Wow, and all this fuss to include the new registration scheme and they 
can't even produce serial numbers that would prevent forgeries!
