I'm with you Mark. In tightly spaced music it looks so much better to have
less space between left barline and accidental vs. left barline and
notehead.

The other problem is that we (well, me at least :) need one more value in
"Music Options/ Spacing" -- "Space before music at the beginning of a
system" to conform to publishing standards. Currently it is not possible
(without tedious manual tweaking) to get the kind of spacing, that rules out
optical confusion of e.g. first sharp of a system -- is it a key signature
or an accidental? -- AND at the same time keeping proper spacing of
Clef/Key/Time both at the beginning and in the middle of staff system.

I guess I'm in minority, so I don't expect it before Finale 2020b :-(
