I, for one, would like to see your findings of what Sibelius can't do. Years ago, I started with Encore because I was told Universal Studios, in Hollywood, gave it to their copyists and told them to learn it, because it was easy to learn. Then I found out what it couldn't do, and I switched to Finale. I've been fighting with it ever since. So, I could use some occasional reinforcement on why I shouldn't switch. As I alluded to, in a post earlier in the week, the continual buggyness of Finale frustrates me. It's hard enough to learn what to do, but then when the program won't do it, at least not consistently, I could use the reinforcement.

Dear Ron,
I have worked with both Finale (since v1.0) and Sibelius (since v1.4) and head to head Finale is superior.
For the vast majority of notation and scoring jobs Finale will come out faster especially if you require versatility.
Sibelius is too pre-emptive in it's nature, Finale works more logically and gives the user far greater control.
I keep a running list of things that Sibelius can't do over Finale, only just to kick back on my frustrations when I am forced to use it! I can send you it off-list if you wish.
Also check out the new promotional pdf on the release of Finale 2004 from Coda's web site, the final page contains a list of comparisons against competing notation software apps.
