Maybe I'm alone in not wanting every program to do everything.. If I need to mock up or (increasingly) produce a high-quality audio version of something then Digital Performer is perfect. If I need players to play it or it needs to be published then I want absolute control over what it looks like with the program making the best stab possible at it before tweaking.
I don't want the two to meet and I don't expect to ever see a notation app that doesn't need tweaking (in every bar...) Otherwise we end up with 'good' notation or 'good' arranging, but never the kind of counter-intuitive rule-breaking that makes something great.
