Dave,
Back to the proposed lammpi2 packaging...I have run into a problem
that has me baffled. If I have the older unstable packages...
ii lammpi 7.0.6-1012 MPI implementation for parallel computing
ii lammpi-dev 7.0.6-1012 Development files for lammpi package
ii lammpi-shlibs 7.0.6-1012 Shared libraries for lammpi package
...installed and I try to do a 'fink install lammpi2', I get an error
during the installation...
fink install lammpi2

The following errors remain:
Unsatisfied dependency in lammpi-dev: lammpi-shlibs (= 7.0.6-1012)
To fix manually, run:
fink scanpackages
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install lammpi2=7.1.2-1000 lammpi2-shlibs=7.1.2-1000
Failed: Fink::SysState: Could not resolve inconsistent dependencies

This is the first time I have tried to create a set of packages that totally
replace another set. What am I missing in order to have the installation
of lammpi2 to force the removal of all packages from lammpi?
