Doing this seems to have created /sw/fink/10.2. I'm still somewhat concerned that somehow postinstall.pl failed or was not run the first time I attempted the fink 10.2 update. I've manually run postinstall.pl and it seems to have worked without any problem, but there may be other problems with my update. Well. I suppose I'll find out eventually if there are problems. Along those lines, I should mention that dselect now no longer seems to works, or, at least, its Update function. When I invoke its Update function, I get the following error messages:Neal A. Crocker wrote:Yes, one is installed during bootstrap and the other one during a normal update.I just noticed something about the .info files for fink 0.11.0 which I wondered at the significance of. There are two .info files for fink 0.11.0-1. One includes a postinstall script, while the other one doesn't (see below).
This is the postinstall script Alexander was referring to. Try to run it. "sudo /sw/lib/fink/postinstall.pl".PostInstScript: sudo /sw/lib/fink/postinstall.pl

After running the postinstall.pl file, I did a "fink selfupdate-cvs". (By the way, I can now see g77 3.1-2002042.) Was I supposed to do a "fink scanpackages" after that? Would that have anything to do with dselect's complaints about not being able to fetch file:/sw/fink/dists/local/main/binary-darwin-powerpc/Packages , etc.?
Thanks,
Neal.
