Right. And Bill's binary distribution is unofficial, so an upgrade path isn't guaranteed. The official binary distribution was set up only to use the latest version of X11 officially put out by Apple, and wouldn't suffer from this particular issue. Other issues, yes, but not this one. Unfortunately we don't really have the manpower, hardware resources, etc. to put out official binary distributions more frequently. > The largest problem is that I am trying to help someone in the site where I > suspect rsync and cvs are deactivated due to so called internet security > reasons. > We temporarily solved the problem some time ago just moving the image of /sw > directory to that site. I'd imagine that there is, but doing an rsync or cvs selfupdate has always been the way that I, personally, test that. Since we only have one cvs repository, if it doesn't work the likelihood is very high that it is blocked. And rsync is very likely blocked too. > Sorry formy frustrated questions. > FF > > Dr Felix Frolow > Professor of Structural Biology and Biotechnology > Department of Molecular Microbiology > and Biotechnology > Tel Aviv University 69978, Israel > > Acta Crystallographica D, co-editor > > e-mail: mbfro...@post.tau.ac.il > Tel: ++972 3640 8723 > Fax: ++972 3640 9407 > Cellular: ++972 547 459 608 > - -- Alexander Hansen Fink User Liaison -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (Darwin) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAks7oNQACgkQB8UpO3rKjQ/6tACaAphUp96oAtLOybQ2QgZD0qqX 5h0AnR2TsWyWI3vmtZyDuyr9HshQEmHu =cutx -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Verizon Developer Community Take advantage of Verizon's best-in-class app development support A streamlined, 14 day to market process makes app distribution fast and easy Join now and get one step closer to millions of Verizon customers http://p.sf.net/sfu/verizon-dev2dev _______________________________________________ Fink-users mailing list Fink-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-users
