Going to 2.4.0 (if I really did, as now i have and official Apple version after
installation of Snow Leopard)
was a step out of misery, as Apple X11 Leopard version was deprecated.
I have explained in one of my recent letters what my real problem is -
deactivated rsync/cvs in one of the sites where
I am helping people to install Mac programs related to structural biology,
despite the fact that the responsible for firewall
is insisting that he himself using FINK. I guess it may be internet connection
location dependent and I will continue investigate
the situation. But it takes time which could be spent on something else.
Well, never a dull moment.
