No, please. I suspected you might have had something like this in you
mind but hoped I was wrong.

Would you really want to open multiple connections and then just close
all of them except one? Not only It's wasting resources but it would
also break the logic behind DNS based round-robin load balancing and
IPv6 address selection according to RFC 6724 (3484).

Are you aware of other client applications doing this for TCP based
protocols?
