Yes, I invested a huge amount of time: to get rid of the garbage that
was 1.3. I don't know where you get the idea that 1.4 activation is
hugely complex. It's less than 150 lines of code:

? That combo would not make sense. Closed is "not active and not
showing". Minimized is "active and not showing". You can't have both.
