That makes sense I guess. Also, allowing the user to change their
directory using $XDG_CONFIG_HOME makes sense. The part that scares me
is that if this is implemented, it could be argued that one should
also support $XDG_DATA_DIRS and the other related variables. This will
require substantial work, since some of these can be paths, which
might cause further headaches.
