All vets are 2 hours away and will not come unless a horse is in serious trouble. And then ... they would not come for a collic case, in which I had no choice but to tube the mare myself. I would much rather be an educated horse owner than not. Our main vet thinks it is beyond him and his staff to do routine shots and wormings. (They will not tube worm even on request. "too many good paste wormer on the market to do the job" ) Guess we are part of that 1%.
