This message is from: Vic Faeo <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Thanks, Jane in Maine and Debi.
His surface at home is forest floor topsoil with logs and tree roots to navagate around. So it is soft, but interesting. His surface during the training period was hard and rocky in his paddock and the same in the arena. The owner decided not to get sand for the arena, and the rocks ranged from small to about 6" in diameter. We all took turns picking them up but there were always more under those. He was in the rocky paddock for 1.5 months, but must have injured himself and never really had a chance to heal. I didn't realize that he could have an abcess under the bruise, so will have the vet take a look at it. After he heals, the riding surfaces in my neighborhood are dirt forest trails and gravel roads. So because of his soft acre, he might never really get used to the gravel roads unless I do some kind of a conditioning? I guess the Mac boots are a good idea then. Thanks! Or Easy Boots. Are they about the same? Vic in Knik AK --- Don Brackett wrote: > Hi Victoria, > I use the old macs for my sons appy that has had > problems with sole bruises > and abscesses. They are great.
