Hi Victoria,
I use the old macs for my sons appy that has had problems with sole bruises and abscesses. They are great. Very easy to put on, the comfort pads provide lots of cushioning and keep him happy. No problem with foot growth between trims, the boots accommodate tons of size variation. Since we've been using them he's had no abscesses or bruises at all and we ride quite alot of rocky trails and hard gravel.

Also, I am considering putting shoes on him, but
really hate metal shoes, and he has been barefoot all
his life. I've considered the Old Mac boots for rides,
but the hoof has to be trimmed just right, doesn't it?
And Einar's hoofs grow really fast. He seems to need
trims about every 4 weeks.
