Don,

Yes, I can confirm all 3 of your issues. The "mono" cable is
a bit mis-leading since 1500 requires a stereo plug to a "mono" left or right
termination end (to key/keyer er whatever). I can understand
"why" it was called this but the word mono is easily taken seriously.

Regarding the PowerSDR forward power, I did note that
"sometimes" full output (5.x w) would intermittently read "3.7 watts."
I am not so concerned with this as I have a LP-100A in line, but
others may.

Also, I confirmed the internal CWX has the -least- latency, followed
by CWTYPE and then a straight key or external keyer (using
the "mono" cable). Received good reports on keying as long as
sufficient delay was available otherwise keying can get quite
soft.

I have worked a number of DX stations. Never under estimate
5 hot watts on a good antenna. :-) I am quite pleased with the
radio and look forward to using it with transverters. This radio is
quite an attractive bargin for only $600!

Subject: [FlexEdge] 1500 CW Issues

I tried some cw this evening and found several issues. I am using an external keyer and v2.0.5 of the PSDR.

1. On cw the tx meter shows no tx power on transmit though an external watt meter shows power output.

2. The sidetone on cw is way too loud and I cannot seem to find a way to lower the audio tone on xmt. The AF has no effect.

3. The Mono Cable option on the DSP/Keyer tab does not appear to be functioning. I had to use a stereo plug even with the mono cable selected to keep from keyer the radio.
