Hi Gang:
Well after reading all the e-mails posted here about SDR-XXXX Gerald answered my question well. I am waiting to get the parts for ECO-020 and 025 I will also install when I remove the radio to install the PA / antenna tuner.ECO-001,002,0011, 012, 018. This should then bring my SDR-1000 up to the top line radio that it is and will be for some years to come. I can invision other external programs / hardware to the SDR-1000 so this great radio will work just about every mode known to radio communications for a long time.

Ed,

We just upgraded the radio in July to give it top performance 3rd order
dynamic range of any radio on the market. We also made the modifications
available to every customer since day one. We really should be calling the
current radio something like the SDR-1500 because it has been through
several upgrades that have been available to all customers.

Most of the additional improvements to the SDR-1000 will come through
software enhancements. We have a built in impulse generator that will soon
let us use software to perfect image rejection and produce exceptional
impulse noise subtraction. That will be a download. This is a SOFTWARE
radio.

73,
Gerald

We have to hope that Gerald produces a new
version of the SDR with all we have learned
Does this mean that the SDR-1000 we now know will stop being and another
SD-XXXX will be comming ? Or do you mean that we will be upgrading the
hardware to make a better system?
