I think he is talking about the actual resolution.  Even when you adjust
things and blow it up it does not look as sharp as any of the digital
programs waterfall display.  IN other words, if I look at the waterfall in
PSDR, I can't tell if a signal is a actual PSK31 signal, nor can you discern
the individual carrier tracts in it.

As John stated, adjusting the levels does not help, it simply lacks the
resolution to show such things.
