freeglut is an alternative to glut, not to OpenGL mesa is an alternative to OpenGL but it does not have the performance required for FG Normally you need to get 3D accelerated drivers from the vendor of your video card, Nvidia or ATI, for example. But I have no idea how to install them under Cygwin
