Isn't the requirement really boost >= 1.37, i.e., it will work with boost version 1.x where x is larger or equal to 37. I assume that the boost team does not break boost API going from 37 to 38 and so on. So, the requirement 1.37 is better than 1.40 since users using boost 1.37-1.39 can skip the boost upgrade for now.
