I don't think this has been raised for a while, if at all. It could be a good idea, if there really is a demand for it. Conceptually it is another external "hangar", but with "official" status. It would need some people to maintain it, but I guess you would volunteer yourself, and to organize others to help? I can't think of any downside right now.
