You cannot 'remote into' a closed file regardless of peer-to-peer or
client-server methods.

It sounds like you are using peer-to-peer sharing and not using FM Server.

A file needs to be open and have "sharing" on (for that file) -- NOTE there
are slightly different variations on this, depending on FM version.

Please provide more information.
