I've just tried the same action on a solution in FM 6 which has

Hi,
I've just tried to use the Send Mail option (FM 8.5) and while
the appropriate info is entered the command goes nowhere.

Mac mini duo, OSX 10.4.5 , Thunderbird is my default email
I think I've tried most options including scripting with correct
linking to the required fields following the 'Help' list of actions.
