I have been using Eudora and FileMaker integrated with AppleScript since version 4 of both. Currently I'm on FMP 9 and Eudora 6.2. Eudora's AppleScripting has not changed. What has changed is FileMaker's containment hierarchy under AppleScript.
I love Eudora for doing this kind of stuff, but I would not waste too much effort on a product that will soon be dead. There are no plans to update Eudora further, and while it still works on Leopard, I would not count on it working on the next system. Apple Mail and Entourage would probably be better choices.
