Just to mention, technically speaking Eudora will and is being
continued as an open source project with the Mozilla Foundation. New
releases are available now, though in beta versions.

That said, even if it wasn't being continued; I'd expect at least
another year or two before determined end users will be forced to make
a migration elsewhere. 1-2yrs with technology can be a pretty long
time.

The script itself, if available, shouldn't be too complicated to fix.
Plus, in terms of migration, moving the client closer to a solution
that just checks a POP3 or IMAP mailing box directly; would alleviate
the need for the Applescript and Eudora reliance; but allow the client
to time email client migration at their own speed.
