For duplicating components the Tools-Copy Component command works best
since it copies everything to do with the component including the various
parts to the new Component and it can copy to another library.

Unfortunately it only works within the same project when it comes to
copying from one library to another. I get around this by creating a
temporary library in the project the library started with, than copying the
component to that library, making changes and then I move the temporary
library to the destination project (my personal library DDB). At least
moving the library is just a drag and drop, but I still think the Copy
Component command should recognize all libraries in all open projects.

And Yes the click to set origin and copy does take some getting used to.
Maybe a floating tooltip when it is waiting for the mouse click would make
it easier for new users.

Protel's Copy function has an extra step that you don't get in text
editors - after you select the area and do "Edit/Copy", you have to
click on the area to be copies to define a reference point - _then_ the
items are copied to the clipboard, and when you paste them into the new
position, that point you clicked on is attached to the cursor.

First thing you do after "Tools/New Component", is "Tools/Rename
Component".
